This process of learning, of unfolding, of moving into new perspectives is messy. I wish I could be tidy, like, ahhh, I've learned the lesson, and here you go: wrapped up pretty in an infallible package. It is not. And even as I think I've gained new understandings, I'm constantly surprised by what I didn't see before and how much I don't know.
